These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites, applications, and services provided by LaunchIQ Tech (“LaunchIQ”, “we”, “us”), including the Tikko app. By downloading, accessing, or using any of our apps or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
Our apps help you make more informed decisions about packaged food and related products. Tikko scans products and provides a personal, rule-based verdict based on the profile and preferences you configure. Features, availability, and supported regions may change over time.
3. Not medical or professional advice
Our apps are informational tools and do not provide medical, nutritional, or professional advice. Verdicts, thresholds, evidence tiers, and other guidance are a starting point only and are not a diagnosis or treatment recommendation.
- Always confirm your dietary targets and thresholds with a qualified healthcare professional.
- Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something in our apps.
- If you have a severe allergy or medical condition, do not rely solely on the app — read the physical product label and consult your care team.
4. Accounts and profiles
Some features may require you to create a profile or account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping any credentials secure. You must be old enough to consent to these Terms in your jurisdiction; if you are a minor, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you will not:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our datasets beyond normal app use;
- Submit false, misleading, or abusive product reports or content;
- Interfere with the operation or security of the service;

When you scan labels, report data, or add products, you may contribute information that improves the service for everyone. By submitting contributions, you grant LaunchIQ a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that information to operate and improve the service. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
7. Intellectual property
The apps, websites, branding, and original content are owned by LaunchIQ and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the apps for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.
8. Third-party data and links
Product, nutrition, additive, and recall information may be sourced in part from third parties such as public food databases and regulatory notices (for example FDA, CFIA, RASFF, and FSANZ). We display the source and last-verified date where available, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party data. Recall coverage depends on the notices published by those authorities.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that verdicts and data will be complete or accurate for your specific circumstances.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LaunchIQ and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the service, including any dietary, allergen, or health decision. Your use of the service is at your own risk.
11. Changes to the service and terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
